An Islamic History of Europe

Dokumentari yg menarik, talked about the history of Islam in Europe. This documentary should give you the correct idea that the birth of Europe was due to the contribution of Islam civilisation. Islamic way of life and way of thinking have led Europe out of their Dark Ages into a more civilised era.

As like my journey into Andalucia a few years back, watching this documentary had made me felt a mix of emotions of sadness and a sense good pride of my Islamic heritage that was really an advance civilisation compared to the Europeans at that time.

Do you know?

Andalucia was an acknowledged muslim land goverened by muslims and its loss at that time was felt by all muslims. However, from days to weeks, and from weeks to months, and from months to years, and from years to decades, muslims only managed to talked and talked about Andalucia that was taken away from them. In the end, people forgot about Andalucia, and the land was left without the muslims ever managed to claim it back. A sad end to a land that was once ours.

This is so ever similar to Palestine right NOW. Palestinian lands were taken from them and even though it is not forgotten by some muslims, it is also not even known by many muslims. We must realise this. A muslim land is being taken from us!

Compared to Andalucia, where knowledge was prosperous. Palestine has al-Aqsa, which is more important to muslims. It is the third most sacred place on earth! We have to realise this. We have to make others realise this. And we have to make contribution to the effort being put to protect this sacred place where Prophet Muhammad (SAW) had imam prayers with all the other prophets and messengers before carried up to see Allah SWT, our Creator.

Palestine being taken away from muslims is not just a crisis of humanity when the Zionist forced Palestinians out of their land, it is a crisis of our faith, a crisis of our aqidah. Muslims must become sensitive of Palestine in order to uphold their faith as a muslim.

You want to know more about Palestine? Here is an effort from Manchester - link. May Allah give us guidance in living our lives as proper muslims.

Wallahu a'lam.

Oke!
